Worst Single-Day Loss for NATO Troops

Six NATO troops were killed Thursday in the offensive of Operation Moshtarak near Marjah, Afghanistan. A seventh soldier was killed on Friday. The seven casualties brought the death toll of international troops from the six-day operation to 12. At least 12 civilians have also been killed in the operation.
