Afghan Authorities Pursue Killer of Two U.S. Military Advisers


Afghan authorities said Sunday they have identified a suspect, Abdul Saboor, 25, in the killing of two U.S. military advisers inside an Afghan ministry.

Afghan authorities said on Sunday that an Afghan police intelligence officer Abdul Saboor may have been involved in the shooting deaths of two U.S. officers on Saturday and have launched a manhunt to track him down. both military advisers were shot in the back of the head. Only people with the code for the combination lock for the door to the officers’ office could have accessed the area.

The killings occurred as protest raged across Afghanistan regarding the burning of the Muslim holy book, The Koran, at a NATO base.
