US NAVY VIDEO: USS Arleigh Burke launches Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles to combat ISIL.

RED SEA (Sept 23, 2014) The guided-missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) launches Tomahawk Land-Attack Missiles (TLAM) against ISIL targets. Arleigh Burke is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Tomahawk missiles have an operational range of 810 miles to 1,550 miles at subsonic speeds of about 550 mph.

Tomahawk launches use a Vertical Launch System (VLS) and horizontal submarine torpedo tubes (known as TTL or torpedo tube launch).
