The security breach apparently occurred when Bouloute, who arrived on a flight from Orlando, Fla., exited Kennedy’s Terminal 8, and opened a door that was supposed to be used only by airport workers.

The security breach and resolution delayed some flights for hours and caused hundreds of travelers to exit the terminal, wait for police to sweep through the building, and then return for a second security screening.
