Flight 253 Passenger: Sharp-Dressed Man Helped Mutallab Board Plane without Passport

A Michigan man lawyer, traveling with his wife aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253, says he witnessed Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab trying to board the plane in Amsterdam without a passport. A man in an expensive suit asked ticket agents if Mutallab could board the plane, saying Mutallab was from Sudan — and we do this all the time. In fact, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab is Nigerian.

When the plane was about 10 minutes from landing in Detroit, the lawyer saw commotion and fire — and recognized the Mutallab as the man who was helped by the sharp-dressed man.
