North Korea has launched four short-range missiles into the East Sea, South Korean officials say.
The missiles launched were short-range scuds, and were fired north toward Russia — away from the direction of current joint United States-South Korea exercises.
The missiles landed in North Korean waters in the East Sea — also known as the Sea of Japan. The missiles are not considered much of a threat.
