John Choon Yoo is an American attorney, law professor, and author who graduated from Harvard University and Yale Law School. As a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General (2001-2003), in the United States Department of Justice during the George W. Bush administration, he became known as the author of the Torture Memos on the use of what the CIA called enhanced interrogation techniques.

Yoo is also known to support the use of force abroad without congressional authorization.

George Friedman is chief executive of STRATFOR, a private global intelligence firm he founded in 1996. Prior to joining the private sector, Friedman spent almost twenty years in academia, teaching political science at Dickinson College.
