Denmark’s intelligence service PET arrested five men Wednesday that were planning to shoot as many people as possible in a newspaper building of Jyllands-Posten daily where cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad were believed to be published.
The terror operation was described as an imminent attack designed to kill as many people as possible in a Mumbai-style gun attack.
Denmark’s intelligence arrested four men in two raids in suburbs of the capital, Copenhagen, and seized an automatic weapon, a silencer and ammunition.

Progress in the climate change summit in Copenhagen was in jeopardy Wednesday night with complex negotiations falling 18 hours behind schedule over failure to overcome disagreements on how to combat global warming. Outside the conference, police clashed with protesters, who broke through a security cordon in a failed to break in to the conference center. Climate secretary, Ed Miliband, warned of a “farce”.
