Suicide Car Bomb Kills 9 People at Jalalabad Airport in Eastern Afghanistan

An explosion at the gates of Jalalabad Airport occurred Monday, killing at least nine people and injuring at least 12. The injured and dead are believed to be Afghan soldiers and civilians.

Sunday, seven U.S. military trainers were wounded Saturday when a grenade was thrown at their base in Afghanistan’s north, as riots continued outside the NATO base in northern Kunduz province.
